Chennai based Indian bike maker Royal Enfield has declared a price cut on its motorcycles after Bajaj Auto confirmed of a price cut to pass on the GST benefits to its customers last week.
GST is proving to be beneficial for bikes with a cubic capacity of 350 cc or below are set to become cheaper. As per reports GST benefits will be applicable to the following Royal Enfield models namely – Royal Enfield Bullet 350, Royal Enfield Classic 350, Royal Enfield Bullet ES and Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350.
The company has not mentioned the specific amount but the GST tax benefits will depend on the state and the bike`s model. The Goods and Services Tax will be launched from July 1, 2017 in India.
Royal Enfield recently launched the Redditch series in India and the company is also working on a 750 cc engine. The bike as per internal sources will be nicknamed Royal Enfield Continental GT 750. The bike has been spotted testing in Indian a couple of time and more details are yet to emerge.
Apart from this Royal Enfield unveiled two new custom bikes “Surf Racer” and “Gentleman Brat” at the fifth edition of the Wheels and Waves festival in France. The two new bikes have been built by Sinroja Motorcycles, based in UK.
